Jade Lemon

Young Living - Jade Lemon - Aroma of WellnessArticle from Linda Smith http://www.essentialoilsconsulting.com

“As winter wears on us, our bodies take a beating—muscle aches, skin dryness, and GI disturbances not to mention all the respiratory stresses with colds, flu and bronchitis. A new favorite oil already of mine is Jade Lemon™. This fruit has been used by Asians for centuries to invigorate, uplift, energize, support clarity of thought, support the skin and clean, detox, and purify. In steaming hot tubs and hot springs, this fruit would be bobbing in the waters, releasing its essential oils from the rind of the fruit. The fragrance is beautifully invigorating and refreshing.  Jade Lemon™ helps supports the whole digestive system. Winter months in particular can be very stressful on this system from epigastric distress to constipation. One-two drops of Jade Lemon™ in a glass of water can help relieve distress and support this system since it is alkalinizing and not acidic. As you know many illnesses love an acidic system. Try putting it in smoothies for a delightful change of taste. It’s good for flavoring dishes like fish or puddings. I find Jade Lemon™ tantalizing for the taste buds. Diffusing it is another way to bring calmness to an over stressed body. Try using this beautiful oil for a few days and see if it doesn’t help you in detoxifying, cleaning, and purifying your gastrointestinal system.”

Jade Lemon - Aroma of WellnessJade Lemon™ Essential Oil (Citrus limon eureka var. formosensis) is an exotic lemon grown in the warm, humid climate of southeast China. This is a lemon that as it matures does not turn yellow but remains green only releasing its essential oil after it has been picked. Like other citrus fruits, the oil is in the rind and this particular one contains high levels of d-limonene, which helps invigorate, uplift, and energize, as well as support clarity of thought and purpose.

Jade Lemon™ supports skin health; helps open and release emotional blocks; and is useful to clean, detox, and purify. A 1995 Mie University study also found that citrus fragrances induce relaxation and invoke feelings of happiness.”

It has such a refreshing scent. You could use a few drops in your body wash for a fresh scent of cleanliness, a few drops in your shampoo for vibrant shiny hair, combine it with sea salt, vegetable oil and other oils of your choice to exfoliate the skin. You can even use a few drops in your dishwasher for a clean, lemony fragrance. One of my favourite ways is using it in the diffuser for a whole house fresh smell. It is mood elevating, stimulating for the mind and supports the immune system. But for the GI system, one can carry a bottle of Jade Lemon™ in your purse and add to a glass of water to support digestive health when eating out.

Add 8-10 drops of Jade Lemon with water in a spray bottle to freshen the air. Beautiful!!
